NCWSA Weekend Results From April 16-17, 2016

We had a great weekend in the NCWSA as all skiers continue to build toward a great 2016 water ski season, and some skiers got their first tournament experience for the year or first experience of their lifetimes! As we build toward our amazing All-Stars & Team Trials weekend in May, this past weekend the NCWSA had four tournaments spread across three of our regions; our tournaments were hosted in Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri, and California.

In the Eastern Region, Auburn University hosted a tournament at Divorce Lake in Valley, Alabama, but the University of Alabama took the top spot at the tournament this past weekend, followed by Clemson University, and then Auburn University rounded out the top three. Two tournaments existed in the Midwestern Region, Purdue Spring Fest and Tiger Thawdown. At the tournament hosted by Purdue University at Lake Grace in Hillsboro, Tennessee the top place went to Michigan State University, and Purdue University narrowly edged out the Ohio State University for second place. At the other Midwest tournament, hosted by the University of Missouri at Water Mill Lake in Ulman, Missouri the winning team was the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with Iowa State University and the University of Missouri rounding out the top three. Over in the Western Region, San Diego State University took the top spot at its tournament that the school hosted at Imperial Lakes (site for 2016 Nationals) in El Centro, CA; Arizona State University placed second and the University of California, Los Angeles grabbed the third place spot by a margin of 5 points.

Congrats to all the winners, and we are glad that all our regions have taken to the water for Spring 2016! As always, full results and scores for collegiate tournaments are published on USA Water Ski.
