UW-Stout Waterski Team Spreading Christmas Cheer
The University of Wisconsin – Stout Waterski Team was getting in the holiday spirit and spreading some Christmas cheer by helping the kids/families in their community this past weekend.
Every year Dunn County has a Christmas for Kids event where groups, organizations, and businesses can sponsor a child for Christmas. When you sponsor a child, you get a list of items the child would like for Christmas and you go shopping for them. This year, the team decided to sponsor a family of two kids. The team also volunteered their time, on December 2nd, at the packing place to help “shop” for the bigger families who haven’t been sponsors. Through this, we were able to pick out toys that had been donated by stores for these larger families.
These holiday volunteer opportunities are a great way for our team to give back to our community.
