Team Pages to Help Connect to Teams

Over the past several weeks our Marketing Chair, Molly Voska, from the Marketing & Membership Committee has been contacting several teams about registering and creating individual pages on our website.

Once registered, each team will have complete control of their individual page to help advertise for their team and make sure contact information is proper and up to date for new skiers, alumni, and upcoming skiers to contact you. Additionally, team accounts will be given access to submitting articles on the NCWSA website, allowing teams to directly write and submit articles to publish on ncwsa.com. Both of these implementations allow every team to broaden their connection to the public through the NCWSA website!

We have had several teams already start the process: Michigan State, Texas A&M, Clemson, Marquette, Central Michigan, Grand Valley State, and Ohio State. Michigan State University was the first to finish, and now their team page is linked directly from our team’s list.

With the template [the NCWSA] has, it really didn’t take long to set up.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Go to ncwsa.com, scroll to bottom
  • Click one of the social logins, check for confirmation email (check spam folder too).
  • Email info@ncwsa.com, with name and email of registration.
  • We will generate a template page and assign the team as page author.
  • Once the page is generated and author assigned, you will see an edit button on the page, and you can modify it to your heart’s content.
  • Once the page content is complete, email us again, and we will link the team page on our team’s list!

We prefer the registration email to be a team email, not personal. We do this so that as team members change, the webpage can stay current. Many teams have an @gmail account handed off from one board to the next, this is a great option to use as the page author. If teams use Hotmail/Microsoft or another email service, please contact us and we should be able to set up third party login options for that email service. If a team email is not used, hand-off becomes cumbersome, but whenever the author needs to be changed, the current team’s board will need to register and we can assign a new page author.
