Siani Oliver Ties NCWSA Women’s Slalom Record

Siani Oliver’s tie of the NCWSA women’s slalom record of 3 buoys at 39.5′ off has been approved!

Siani Oliver tied the NCWSA Women’s Slalom Record at the end of September 2018 at the SCR Collegiate Regional tournament. The tournament was hosted at the Lakes of Katy in Katy, Texas. Siani was skiing for the University of Louisiana at Monroe when she tied the record of 105 total buoys by getting 3 @ 39.5′ off.

Three women are now tied for the NCWSA women’s slalom record as Siani Oliver joins the current record holders Samantha Dumala (Florida Southern College; set in 2015) and Manon Costard (University of Louisiana at Monroe; set in 2014).

I am Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside and Bachelor's and Masters from Marquette University. I skied collegiately at Marquette and in 2009 I received the NCWSA Outstanding Leader Award. I was NCWSA Operations Committee Chair for 7 years, and the NCWSA Secretary for 8 years.
