Sentosa Waterski Club to Host 2020 World University Championships

The FISU World University Championships Division announced that its Executive Committee has attributed the organization of the 2020 World University Waterski and Wakeboard Championships to Dnipro, Ukraine. The event will be held at the Sentosa Water Ski Club, site of the 2017 IWWF World Under-21 Waterski Championships.

The World University Championships (WUC) is a series of events organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). First launched in 1963, the 2016 WUC program included 33 different sports, including water skiing, rowing, rugby sevens, sailing and others. The United States has won every – 1997, 1999, 2002, 2004, 2009, 2012 and 2016 – University Worlds to date.

I am Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside and Bachelor's and Masters from Marquette University. I skied collegiately at Marquette and in 2009 I received the NCWSA Outstanding Leader Award. I was NCWSA Operations Committee Chair for 7 years, and the NCWSA Secretary for 8 years.
