Make check (one check for entire team) payable to "Arizona State University Water Ski Team, Inc.". Final Registration: Final Registration will be held at pavilion at Firebird Lake between the hours of 6:00PM and 8:00PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. At that time all originals of the materials sent with pre-registration must be submitted and all entry fees paid. A single check should be presented for all members of a team as opposed to each skier writing a check for his/her own entry. Checks should be made out to "Arizona State University Water Ski Team, Inc.". Any last minute changes must be submitted at this time included alternates. NO CHANGES will be made after final registration "Schedule of Events…5. Final Registration will be held at the same site as the NCWSA Board Meeting so that eligibility letters, team rosters, etc, can be approved by the Board a. This means that although a pre-registration by mail or by phone/e-mail has been accepted, the final registration with the team release, eligibility letter, proof of membership etc., must be presented so they can be verified. This final registration along with any changes in the pre-registration (changes in roster) should be turned in earlier in the day, but must be done no later than during the hours of 6:00PM and 8:00PM on the night prior to the start of the tournament so that paper work for the tournament can be finalized early. b. A skier that is not on the eligibility letter and the team roster by 8:00PM the night prior to the start of the tournament will not be allowed to ski in the event. There should be a section added to the roster for alternate skiers (skiers that are not on the roster in a position to ski in any event) for the national tournament in the case of an injury to a skier. These alternate skiers must be fully registered including all fees paid and meet all other requirements of skiers allowed to ski in the National Tournament, etc., These alternates would not use any eligibility should they not actually ski in this National Tournament provided they have not already used or will not use eligibility for this same fall season as described in the National Tournament Rules. c. There can be no changes of any kind in the running order after final registration of any event with the exceptions as described in 4.d. (concerning the first event) and any substitutions allowed under the conditions included in this same paragraph heading of 4.c. No substitutions of any kind in the running order will be allowed without the approval of the Chief Judge and the NCWSA Board or their designated representative(s) and for no other reason than for injuries. Those skiers eligible to be considered for substitutes for an injured skier on their same team are those fully registered and participating in other events or are "alternates" (as described in Schedule of Events 4.b.) The skier that becomes a substitute for his/her injured team member will ski in the Running order position of that skier. d. The running order for the first event of the tournament cannot be changed after 8:00PM the night prior to the start of the tournament except as stated above. Some of you have asked if you can send all of your original registration materials to the Registrar since you will be arriving late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning and will this serve as final registration. The answer is "yes" just make sure that you have included ALL the necessary ORIGINAL completed forms with signatures, etc., including your membership numbers , letter of eligibility, proof of membership (copies of membership cards) and all entry fees. This information MUST be in the hands of the Registration Chairman NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2008. Sending your original registration materials early is for YOUR convenience and you take full responsibility if they are not received on time. If you do this you still have to have pre-registration materials in by October 8th SITE FAMILIARIZATION: None by order of the NCWSA Board the day before the event. Under supervision of the Tournament Director or his/her designate, appointed drivers will have site familiarization on Wednesday pulling skiers that will not be competing in the nationals. TOWBOATS: The towboats approved for the 2008 Nationals, under the towboat policies of the NCWSA, will be Correct Craft, Master Craft, Malibu. All boats will pull both trick events and a drawing will be held to see which boats pull the other events. OFFICIALS/TEAM CAPTAINS MEETING: Immediately following the close of Final Registration(8:00PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2008) a meeting will be held in the Pavilion at Firebird Lake . Appointed Officials, NCWSA Board Members and Team Captains (other team members are also welcome as long as there is space available) will receive last minute instructions from the Chief Judge and LOC. A random computer draw will be made for team rotation by event for both men and women and a drawing for towboats for each event will be made. 2008 Nationals Schedule of Events Two Divisions as determined by team placement at NCWSA Collegiate Regionals.· Division I: Top 3 finishers from each of four Regionals. · Division 2: 4th and 5th place finishers at Regionals, 6th place from Western Regionals and one wildcard spot TBD as per NCWSA Standards THURSDAY October 16th, 2008 East Lake (Start: 7:00am) Division 1 Women's Slalom Division 1.
