Storm and ULL receive USAwaterski awards for October
USA Water Ski has selected Storm Selsor (Fremont, Calif.) as its Male Athlete of the Month, for October. The University of Louisiana-Lafayette water ski team  (Lafayette, La.) was selected USA Water Ski’s Team of the Month. Selsor, and the University of Louisiana-Lafayette water ski team are now eligible for the United States Olympic Committee’s Athlete and Team of the Month honors.

Selsor won the men's overall title at the 32nd Collegiate Water Ski National Championships, Oct. Oct. 14-16, at the Austin Aquaplex in Buda, Texas. Selsor tallied 1,665.0 overall points after placing second in tricks (5,880 points), fourth in jumping (162 feet) and tied for fourth in slalom (2 buoys at 38 feet off). Selsor's performances helped lead Arizona State to a fourth-place finish in the team standings.

The University of Louisiana-Lafayette water ski team won the Division 1 national title at the 32nd Collegiate Water Ski National Championships, Oct. Oct. 14-16, at the Austin Aquaplex in Buda, Texas. The Ragin' Cajuns tallied 12,460 points in winning their first national title since 2005 and fifth title in the history of the event. Team members were: Stephen Critchley, Lorenzo D'Alberto, Garrett Karber, Roberto Linares, Andrew Lindsey, Matteo Luzzeri, Nancy Chardin, Lisa Francke, Ramona Koestenberger, Alison Lindy and Stinne Soendergaard
