Giannina Bonnemann of Team Germany Wins Gold in 2016 WUC Women’s Trick

Giannina Bonnemann is skiing for Team Germany in Akita, Japan at the 2016 World University Championships, but we know her best as a member of the current NCWSA national champion team from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. After posting the best women’s trick score in the preliminary round (8880 points), she bested everyone in the women’s trick finals with a score of 7500 points.

The highest placing Team USA skier was Giannina’s collegiate teammate Brittany Greenwood who got 5th with a score of 3930 in the women’s trick finals.

I am Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside and Bachelor's and Masters from Marquette University. I skied collegiately at Marquette and in 2009 I received the NCWSA Outstanding Leader Award. I was NCWSA Operations Committee Chair for 7 years, and the NCWSA Secretary for 8 years.
