Winners! AWSA Awards “Who Can Ski the Most” Team Prizes

This past summer, AWSA sponsored a Tournament Participation Contest, where collegiate skiers were encouraged to participate at AWSA summer events.

Individual skiers were counted by their Fall 2019 school to track participation. Participants followed the AWSA social distancing guidelines.

The top three represented teams with skier participation receive tiered cash prizes. Points were awarded for each event, so those who skied all three earned more points at each tournament!

310 skiers participated from 44 schools across the nation.

This contest brought first-time AWSA participants, ski-babies, and everyone in between, together for a summer of socially distan-skiing. Thank you for coming, and great skiing by all those who came out to the lakes this summer. You’ve now joined the amazing community of individual three-event skiing.

The results are in, and the winners are (Drum Roll)

In 3rd place, winning $100 for their team, The Water Ski Team at Arizona State University!

In 2nd place, winning $100 for their team, The Florida Southern College Water Ski Team!

In 3rd place, winning $300 for their team, The University of Alabama Water Ski Team!
