Upcoming Board Elections: NCWSA Treasurer & NCWSA Secretary

Upcoming NCWSA Board of Directors officer elections will take place during the annual NCWSA Board of Directors meeting. For 2021 these elections include NCWSA Treasurer and NCWSA Secretary. Both positions are elected for a 1-year term. At the time of this article both incumbents plan on running for reelection, Adam Koehler for Secretary and Benjamin Bye for Treasurer.

Interested non-incumbent parties should submit a PDF of their resume and a PDF cover letter through the NCWSA Officer Applications form linked below. The deadline to submit applications is February 10th, 2021 at 11:59pm PST.

The one page cover letter should open with stating the position you wish to run for. The remainder of the cover letter should outline your interests, motivations, and plans as related to the position. Additionally, interested parties should reach out to Jeff Surdej or any Board of Directors member to secure a nomination during the board meeting thus placing your name on the ballot. I am Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside and Bachelor's and Masters from Marquette University. I skied collegiately at Marquette and in 2009 I received the NCWSA Outstanding Leader Award. I was NCWSA Operations Committee Chair for 7 years, and the NCWSA Secretary for 8 years.
